سلام
در این پست یه آموزش مختصری از ساخت یک شیت کامپوزیت کربن میزارم.

Carbon fibre, the final frontier in case modding. You have probably heard people asking about using carbon fibre for cases on forums all over the web just to see the common reply that it isn't possible to do without a lot of specialist tools. Well that is partially true, to make a case using the same process that is used in a formula 1 car would be very difficult and expensive.

There are two approaches for making panels with carbon fibre, the one above using carbon fibre fabric with pre impregnated resin that needs vacuum and heat to cure for best possible performance. This makes it suitable for extreme conditions but also very expensive and complicated to manufacture.
The approach used here won't give the same extreme strength/weight ratio but will make it easy enough to do home at the kitchen table. The process is known as wet layup, carbon fibre fabric is mixed in layers with epoxy resin and cured in normal room temperature.

Carbon fibre, like fibreglass, can cause serious respirtory problems if you inhale shards. Always wear a face mask when handling the raw cloth or cutting a finished panel. And take the warnings on the epoxy and hardener bottles seriously. These chemicals can, have and will cause brain damage if you don't take precautions.

This is all the material needed for a nice strong carbon fibre panel. At the top we have the epoxy resin from West System, the resin is number 105 and the hardener is 205. From the left we have 3mm (1/8") balsa wood panels, disposable latex gloves, cyanoacrylate glue, disposable plastic cup, tape, wooden medispat and finally the 200g per square meter carbon fibre fabric. Underneath it all is a sheet of polyester film.

First step is just to glue the balsa panels together with the cyanoacrylate glue.

Next step is to measure the pieces needed from the roll of fabric. To minimize the waste of carbon fibre it is a good idea to apply tape where you intend to cut to get a clean stable edge.

A normal scissor will easily cut the fabric to shape.

The pumps seen on the epoxy bottles are unfortunately not included but a very good investment to use since they will make the mixing a breeze. One full press on each will result in a perfect 1:5 mix ratio of hardener and resin. Stir the epoxy slowly to not get any unwanted air bubbles added. If you got the ratio right you have an effective work time of about 20 minutes before the cure starts.

The epoxy wont stick to the polyester film on top of the table so no release agent such as wax is needed.

A layer of epoxy has been added over the film with the help of the medispat. Paint brushes will work as well but the medispats are cheaper in the long run...

Next the fabric is added and properly worked down to get rid of any air pockets, then some more epoxy is added to prepare for the next layer.

The balsa is next to be added and worked down as well to get rid of air pockets yet again. More epoxy is added on top to prepare for the final layer of carbon fibre.

The final layer of carbon fibre added. If the amount of epoxy underneath isn't enough to get the fabric wet you can add some more on top and it will get through nicely. Since this panel only will have one visible side the top will get a rough look simply by scraping off any excessive epoxy on top. If you want this side shiny as well then you will have to add another layer of epoxy, then a layer with polyester film and a big flat object on top of it.

24 hours later the epoxy is fully cured and the panel is ready to get cleaned up from excessive carbon fibre fabric. The easiest way is to use a Dremel with a normal cutoff wheel at max speed. Here is the first major drawback with carbon fibre, the dust is very nasty so if you can hold a vacuum cleaner next to the Dremel while cutting you will be a lot happier when done.

And this is the final look of the rough side.

I hope this little guide has been useful. Some of you might wonder why I didn't go for just carbon fibre without balsa but from past experience I have realized that this sandwich construction is both stronger and a lot cheaper than six layers of only carbon fibre.

The carbon fibre supplier I use here in the UK is CFS.

What are the processes available to Manufacture your Advanced Composites and Carbon Fiber Parts??
The tooling processes below have been perfect through years of R&D and hands on experience. This insures that we will pick the right method to create your Hand Lay-Up:



The hand wet lay-up method is the simplest method for composite molding. It enables changes to a design with minimal investments and simple processing. Although it has a low production volume per mold it is lower in cost and can be used for a wide range of part sizes.

Spray-up: Using spray-up or chopping is sometimes faster when producing more complex shapes because of its ability to conform. It is also a low cost method with the advantage of more control over thickness and consistency within the part.

CLOSED MOLDING
Vacuum Bag Molding: This method can be used for either a hand lay-up process or pre-impregnated lay-up. When using vacuum bagging it causes the pressure inside the bag to reduce and the external pressure to increase, this will remove any excess air and resin. This method helps produce laminates with even consolidation; complete fiber wet-out and improved core bonding. Another use for this method is if you are looking to create more advanced composites such as aircraft or military products then the prepreg-vacuum bag-autoclave method is what you would use.




Vacuum Infusion Processing: Vacuum infusion or Vacuum resin transfer molding is similar to the vacuum bagging process only the resin is infused after the pressure inside the bagged mold is lower than the atmospheric pressure. This allows no room for excess resin or air and is perfect for larger molds with a low-volume molding process. Vacuum resin infusion also generates products high in strength and light in weight with low-cost tooling.


Resin Transfer Molding (RTM): RTM is an intermediate volume molding process even though it is the same concept as vacuum infusion the process differs slightly in that, because the resin is injected the pressure in the mold is higher than the atmospheric pressure. This process allows you to choose from a wide variety of tooling and has the capability of producing in rapid time. The reason for using this method is to manufacture parts with two finished surfaces.

PULTRUSION Pultrusion Process: Pultrusion is a process where continuous strands of fiberglass or carbon fiber are impregnated in resin then pulled through a steel die which strengthens the saturated reinforcement. This is good for manufacturing products such as; beams, pipe, tubing,fishing rods, golf clubs and many other products with high structural properties.

Injection molding is also available for manufacturing projects.

یه کلیپ باحال در مورد ساخت قطعه به وسیله کامپوزیت های کربن. عجب تر و تمیزه کارش :-) خودش یک آموزش کامپوزیت کربن خوب است
